The Research On The Jealous Drama Of Yuan, Ming And Qing Dynasties

As a kind of common human psychology and behavior patterns, "jealousy" has always been active in the field of literature. After the first jealousy "SuXiang’ mother" in ZuoZhuan, the “jealousy” generally been written down in many literary works,especially being common in the Ming and Qing dynasties. In the early the "jealousy" was recorded based on the true history, but now they evolved into the literature creation because of the literati’s consciousness, and appearing lots of dramas with "jealousy" as the theme. No matter on the character’s setting, or the story’s showing,these jealous dramas show many unique aspects when compared with other topics’ drama works, they have a very distinct self color. But in the current the academia’s research are almost all focused on "the jealousy of the novel", and less concerned to "the jealousy of drama". In this paper, I’ll make a more extensive and in-depth research on the jealous dramas of Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.In the first chapter, the author will comb the jealous dramas that recorded in history, then finishing the jealous dramas’ condition of existence and lose, showing the general create conditions of the jealous dramas of Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties according to the time, trying my best to show the creation situation of the jealous dramas objectively and complete.The second chapter mainly analyses the characteristics of the characters,through the image analysis of mainly three characters in the jealous dramas——husband, wife and XiaoQie, summarizing the main characters of the image, they are the demonizing jealous woman, the cowardly husband and the ideal XiaoQie, In addition, I’ll analyze them combined with the text.The third chapter macro analyses the plot structure of the jealous dramas, it bases on cohort study of the jealous dramas, discussing the plot structure’s hidden characteristics, analyzing the plot program, clues arranging, character layout and the rhythm grasping of the jealous dramas, it belongs to the abstract summary of the characteristics to the jealous dramas.The fourth chapter analyzes the comedy color of the jealous dramas based on the stylistic features of drama itself, shows its unique comic effect around its character setting, performance technique and gag, in an attempt to show the jealous dramas’ unique style.The fifth chapter discusses the jealous dramas’ drama purpose about the prevention of welding and the treatments with jealousy, not only analyzes the common methods of the treatments with jealousy in jealous dramas, but also further research the social and cultural causes about the drama purpose, showing that it is imperative to treat jealousy in the feudal patriarchal society.The sixth chapter analyzes the social and cultural connotation of the jealous dramas, discusses the jealous dramas’ folk culture and people’s good vision about family harmony, it also shows the humanity and the heavy chains of the jealous woman in the jealous dramas.The seventh chapter aims to explore the similarities and differences between the novel and drama of Ming and Qing dynasties, through analyzing the similarities and differences about the character image and the reasons of the jealousy and so on, in the hope of making a horizontal comparison about the different literary styles in the same period, just to find the uniqueness of the jealous dramas’.
