This paper will take the children’s physiological andpsychological characteristics as the breakthrough point, thenanalyze on the relationship between children’s physical,psychological, and the children’s picture book design.The paper willbe divided into four parts apart from the introduction. Followingsare the contents.The first part will explain the related concepts of "children’spicture book design", including concepts of books, children’spicture books and picture books design. And then discusses thedevelopment of history and present situation of children’s picturebooks in the Chinese, analyzing the existing problems in the designof children’s picture books in China.The second part analyzes the characteristics of children’sphysical and psychological development stage, then discusses whychildren like reading picture books, picture books and educationalsignificance of education for the children’s psychologicaldevelopment.The third part is the focus of this paper, based on the children’sphysical, psychological, analyzes the application of children’s picture books, graphic design color style, layout and design, tryingto understand " what kind of children’s picture books do childrenusually like ". Then focus on the analysis of the design problem of0-6year—old children’s picture books. Meanwhile, It also involveschildren’s picture book design in other age groups.The fourth part is the outlook of Chinese children’s picturebook design, cited a number of children’s picture book designinnovation in recent years, especially the innovation of materials.Finally, the conclusion is that the future of design Chinese childrento join the factors of traditional culture, and discusses the childrenpicture book design as well as the demand for the market.In this paper, from the child’s psychological point of view,issues related to the design of picture are analyzed and summarized,that the relationship between the children’s picture book designand children’s psychological reaction and picture books, children’sinteraction, this process is the relationship between the two, andprospects the development trend of children’s picture book design.I hope that this study can exchange and engage in children’s picturebook creation, make design staff to bring them more into theconsideration.
