| Recent years, education in china is developing. And also early childhood education, beingan important issue in each family, is gradually concerned. In the context of the currentdevelopment, the child’s mental development, intellectual development and languageexpression are closely tied to children’s picture books. During the special period of children,kids don’t read words directly, but they can be cognitive with pictures. Children’s picturebooks, with the very illustrations for performance, are the important methods for children’sknowledge, mental growth development, and children’s cognition of the world. Children havea poor understanding for language, but children are more sensitive to the illustrations in thebook, so it is particularly important to have the illustration design in children’s picture books.The world in children’s eyes is colorful, so children’s picture books also should be rich andspecial. It is required for illustrator to make a delicate design to open children’s minds and toarouse more reading interest of children. Therefore, this article studies the illustration designin children’s picture books from the perspective of interest. Specifically speaking, this paperintroduces the conception mainly from the five aspects and carries on the thorough discussionaccording to the framework.Part one is introduction, which summarize the purpose and meaning of the research. Thesecond part is to analyze the concept and the current situation of the illustrations in children’spicture books. This part mainly talks about the concept of the picture books and its function inearly children’s development. It also provides the main bedding for the paper, at the sametime, this part also generalizes the advantages and disadvantages of the illustration design inpicture books. The third part describes the innovation of the illustration design in aspect ofinterest. This part comes up with the importance of interest which shown in picture books bycombining many cases. When designing illustrations, the designers should respect children’snature, consider the design from the perspective of the standard, and combine with "vision"and "touch", which can successfully attract children’s attention. From the "visual" point ofview, designers usually use exaggeration, personification, and dislocation to allow children tokeep reading on the image of interest; from the point of view of "touch", the designemphasizes the interest when children are touching illustrations and interacting. The fourthpart sets forth its change and meaning from two aspects. The fifth part is conclusion. The partcarries on the retrospective summary to the situation of the research.In conclusion, the paper expounds the current situation and the function of theillustration design in children’s picture books. Its aim is to draw the illustration design forchildren’s interesting innovation, to provide more ways of thinking, and to make some usefulcontributions to the revitalization of children’s picture books in China. |
