Objective:To Understand the mental health status of primary and middle school students of The Xinjiang Korla and the different learning stages mental health problems, the kinds of psychological problems, the Minority Nationalities (Mongolian,Uygur and Han students),the mental health situation of boys and girls,for formulating reasonable school psychological health education strategies and measures to provide reference. Methods:1. The survey used a stratified cluster sampling method, using the revised by Professor Bu cheng Zhou of East China Normal University’s"psychological health diagnosis test"(MHT) form, in2013March to the May, primary and secondary schools in Korla, a random sample of2090pupils,2079cases of middle school students,1047senior high school students, conducted a questionnaire survey analysis of the psychological health situation, the Xinjiang Korla elementary and middle school students, psychological health problem in different learning stages and its ethnic, correlation between the sexes.2. Using random sampling method, the school psychological health education work of competent leadership or educational leadership and psychological health class teacher, randomly selected35patients were interviewed. Results:Through the questionnaire survey concluded that:1. The mental health status of primary and middle school students in Xinjiang of Korla is optimistic on the whole, the proportion of students psychological health in middle and primary schools is higher, but also found that19.5%of primary school students,33.9%junior high school students,32.7%senior high school students have different degrees of mental problems; The incidence rate of between primary school grades1-3and4-6grade group psychological problems, there was significant difference (P<0.001); between junior middle school and primary school grades4-6group, there was statistical difference (P<0.01); there was no statistical difference between senior high and junior school (P>0.05); The mental health of students with learning grade showed a gradual upward trend, but the psychological health problems of middle school students in the high ratio of primary school and high school students, the results and the majority of domestic and foreign about the students mental health results are consistent.2.MHT mental health problems among primary school, middle school, high school the positive rate, there was significant difference (P<0.001); mental health problems in learning anxiety, loneliness tendency, self accusation tendency and physical symptom The aspects of performance, the highest rate of high school students, high school students> junior middle school> primary school; and in the manifestation of human anxiety, allergy tendency, fear tendency, impulsion tendency of performance, the highest rate of junior middle school students, junior high school> high school> primary school. In between the primary4-6Grade and1-3grade primary school group, in the mental health problems of learning anxiety and loneliness tendency, there was significant difference (P<0.01); between junior middle school and primary school grades4-6group, in the aspect of learning anxiety and mental health problems for people with anxiety and impulse tendency, there was significant difference (P<0.001) between middle school and; high school grade group, in the lonely tendency and impulse tendency and anxiety to people’s mental health problems, and there was statistical difference (P<0.01).4. the Minority (Uygur students and Mongolian students) and Han students between,Mongolian students psychological of higher incidence problems; between minority and Han students, except impulse tendency (P>0.05), Rate difference occurrence of other psychological problems, there was significant (P<0.001).4. between boys and girls, with significant differences on the occurrence of anxiety, loneliness tendency, body symptom, impulsion tendency rate (P<0.001). There was significant difference between self accusation tendency of incidence (P<0.05). Through the interviews that:1.a higher rate of mental health lessons in primary and middle schools of Korla city class (average94.7%), teacher’s structure is unreasonable, the proportion of professional low (20%), lack of training (50%).2. the school pays attention to the psychological health education work of degree is not enough, to carry out mental health activities is lower (52.67times/year), the use of psychological consultation room rate is low (8.4times/year). Conclusion:1.Psychological problems of primary and middle school students in Xinjiang of Korla City, along with the increase of age and learning load, psychological problems showed a rising trend.2. mental health problems in learning anxiety, loneliness tendency, self accusation tendency and physical symptom The aspects of performance, the highest rate of high school students, high school students> junior middle school>primary school; and in the manifestation of human anxiety, allergy tendency,fear tendency, impulsion tendency of performance, the highest rate of junior middle school students, junior high school> high school> primary school.3.the Minority (Uygur students and Mongolian students) and Han students between, Mongolian students psychological of higher incidence problems; between minority and Han students,except impulse tendency,Rate difference occurrence of other psychological problems, there was significant. In the anxiety to people, Uigur students is higher than that of the Han students. In the learning anxiety is higher than Han students, Mongolia students.4. between boys and girls, with significant differences on the occurrence of anxiety, loneliness tendency, body symptom, impulsion tendency rate, There was significant difference between self accusation tendency of incidence.5. Xinjiang Korla city schools for mental health education work intensity is low, the teachers troop construction is slow, the structure is not reasonable.6. Strengthen the implementation and development of the work of mental health education in schools of Korla city suggests, should be timely to prevent and solve the psychological change and the psychological problems of students.
