| ObjectiveUsing the investigation on the mental health status of Lanzhou middle school students, we can fath the current status of middle school students’mental health, then we explored and analyzed the influencing factors of it. To provide the scientific standards on help, education and intervention of enhancing the mental diathesis of middle school students in the future.MethodsEmploying the process of cluster sampling method to involve the mental health status of Lanzhou health school. Ultimately, obtaining a valid sample of2259people. The research used questionnaire methods, the questionnaire included SCL-90and the questionnaire sekf-prepared affecting factors for mental health. Used EXCEL2003software to establish a database, and data analysis applied SPSS16.0statistical software to complete. Statistical methods included, analysis of variance, Student-Newman-Keuls test, one-factor non-conditional logistic regression and multiple-factors non-conditional logistic regression.Results1Basic situation:The technical secondary school students were surveyed2259people. Age range was from14to28years, the mean age18.10±1.69years old.2Overall situation of mental health:the status of mental health is better than the national norm, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Factors>2accounted for35.06%of the frequency points, Factors>3accounted for12.75%of the frequency points3Differences of overall mental health status of student among gender, age, nationalities, grades, school education background, the mothers occupation, parents culture degree, family structure, family per capita income were no statistically significant (P>0.05). 4Differences of overall mental health status of student among the only child, their fathers’occupation and family relationships were statistically significant (P<0.05)5Factors affected Mental health in multivariate analysis shows:the Odds Ratio values of Father’s cultural degree and family relationships are1.248and1.506, that is to say that they were risk factors of increased the incidence of health problem; and the Odds Ratio values of the grade of the student is0.6999, which was mental health protective factors.ConclusionsThe number of overall mental health status this technical secondary school students was below the national norm level, but there were large number students who had hostilities and force. The mental health of oral professional students was worst in this school. The mental heahh of students of grade two were better than students of grade one. The mental health of singletons was better than non-singletons. The mental health of students who father is unemployed was worse than others. The mental health of the family who often have family conflict was worse than others. The father’s occupation and family relationships were risk factors for the students; the grade of students was protective factors for students. |
