The Rhetorical Art In Guixiang Xu’s Novels

As one of the leading writers in contemporary war literature, Guixiang Xu has won thePLA literary prize,“the PLA art” Excellence Award, People’s Literature Award, Mao Dun andmany other awards. In the process of literary creation, Guixiang Xu is good at using a varietyof rhetorical ways to make the novel language with concise and elegant, simple-minded, sharpand lively artistic features. This report analyses and studies the art of rhetoric in GuixiangXu’s novel through statistics and data summarise based on12novels of Guixiang Xu, andthen have a taste of language rhetorical artistic charm of his novels.The report consists of4parts. The first part is an introduction, summarise the currentresearch on Guixiang Xu’s novel, focusing on the research of Guixuang Xu and the rhetoricalof his novel.The second part is the main part of the report, and is divided into4chapters. Thefirst chapter is the art of rhetoric in Guixiang Xu’s novel, which summarised the beauty ofrhetoric and harmany in Guixiang Xu’s novel from the perspective of both words andsentences. Chapters2and3analysis the elegant and simplicity language feature from theperspectives of words rhetoric and sentences rhetoric respectively. The fourth chapter analysesGuixiang Xu’s rhetorical art from the perspective of rhetoric ways by analysing parallelism,metaphor, parody, thimble rhetoric in detail.The third part is the conclusion, which summarisethe previous study and states the future research direction.
