In daily communication, we often hear such sentences:"zao ye bu lai,wan ye bulai”、“zhe ye bu hao, na ye bu hao”、jin ye bu shi, tui ye bu shi”。 These sentencesmay be generalized as “A ye bu X, B ye bu X” and concerned as a construction whichexpresses "overall negative " namely "nothing". In this paper, constructional analysismethod is used to study collected corpus which intends to analysis this construction inthree dimensions, including syntax, semantics and pragmatics. Through observationand analysis summarized the construction "A ye bu X, B ye bu X" has symmetrycharacteristic in the upper syllables and sentence structure. This construction containstwo types of meaning:“dilemma” and “listing”. According to semantic relationships itcan be divided into absolute coordination and relative coordination. Through the form,namely the parallel number the structure type it can be divided into two and many. Atthe same time, the variant construction were studied respectively. Then, thecompositions of “A ye bu X, B ye bu X”were analysed. What can be embedded inthe mode of "A","B" could be either nominal, adjectives components and also averbal one.One Can be a word, another phrase."X" can be a verb, an adjective or averbal phrase. The two "ye" are adverbs, expressing “similar”. This paperinvestigatived syntactic functions of this construction. It shows that the constructionhas powerful syntax functions which can be used as the subject, predicate, object,adverbial and complement. commentary and frequency adverbs、conjunction whichrepresents causal, turning, assumptions and concessions and modal particles mayco-occur with the construction of “A ye bu X, B ye bu X”.Furthermore "A ye bu X, B ye bu X" has subjectivity with which positive,negative, neutral three subjective color. It feature focus highlights and a connectingdiscourse function.Finally, based on second language teaching and conclusions have been discussedabove, using Construction-Chunk theory, this paper has put forward more targeted teaching strategies for foreign students studying the construction of "A ye bu X, B yebu X".
