The study motivation is a very important aspect of second language study. Teachers should pay attention in the class teaching and improve foreign student’s study motivation.Basing in the previous motivation theory, I select Turkmenistan preparatory students as the research subjects. By several of methods, this paper conduct a detailed analysis of their motivation of Chinese learning.This paper consists of five parts:The first part mainly introduce the origin, purpose, methods and thinking of the study.The second part is the process of investigation. The research subjects of the survey is the Turkmenistan preparatory students at international cultural exchange school of Central China Normal University. I designed questionnaires and gave them to the students, then recovered and analysis the results.The third part is the result of the survey. I use the SPSS statistical software to analyze the statistics.The fourth part is the suggestions of how to improve the study motivation of students.The fifth part lists some creation and shortcomings of this article.
