A Practice Report On Interpreting "China’s New Energy Vehicles"

With the rapidly developing of economic globalization, the public attention to the financial news is boosting day by day. Because economic programs possess their own characteristics and styles, sometimes they would dominate the importance of professional perspectives on the current economic subjects. The interpreting of economic programs is more likely a test of economics and finance background knowledge reserves for interpreters. What’s more, the interpreter is supposed to enjoy sound understanding of specific markets and digital sensitivity. The author should interpret the content of the Economic News timely and accurately so as to be an interpreter in the future.On the one hand, this practice report has been chosen the representative of CCTV economical channel columns the Economic News, which is the most timeliness of domestic economic news, and more than 90% of them are on the day news. The author can apply with consecutive interpretation theory, putting the skills to the specific interpreting practice, which would improve the author’s ability of interpreting practice. By writing report based on 400 hours interpretation practice, the author found out the specific problems in the process of interpreting and made every effort to think of ways to cope with these issues. The capacity and resilience interpretation of the author would be improved.On the other hand, the author chose the new energy vehicles part to make analysis and summary, aiming to show that the Chinese people pay close attention to this global issue and take an active attitude to solve the pollution.This thesis consists of four parts: preparation before interpretation, guidance of interpretation theory, personal experience and solutions and conclusion.The first part is the preparation before interpretation. It mainly introduces the background of the Economic News and the reason why the author chose this topic as the representative. And then the author illustrates the first part from characteristics of the material, goals of selected part and notice of interpretation task.The second part is the guidance of interpretation theory, which is made up of three points: there are sense-based interpretation, literal interpreting and the post-interpretation strategy analysis.The third part is personal experience and solutions in which the author sums up the problems in the practice and figure them out.The last part is the conclusion, which makes a summary of the whole thesis and this part illustrates what the author gain from the whole practice. Through the analysis of the whole process of the interpreting practice, the author sums up the valuable experience as well as the potential problems during the whole practice process so that it cloud help author learn lessons from the mistakes and lay a solid foundation for the interpreting work in the future.
