The Research Of Tao Gu

Tao Gu(903-970)was born in the Later Liang Dynasty,and became a officer from the Later Jin Dynasty.He dreamed of becoming a prime minister.People thought he had a very high level in literature,but his works and his people was so different.His poetry was pure and fresh,well his people was not honest and cunning.There were so many records in the books.However the differences made him more popular.Tao Gu was famous for his literary works,but we can only see a small amount of them.He had four poems in The poetry of the Song Dynasty and twenty-three articles in The Complete Works of Song,those were very important to us,many of them were the memorials to the throne,others were the prefaces.This article have three parts.The first part we will make a research about his official career and his family,we hope to find the cause of his character.The second part we will talk about his poems and essays,as his poems are not very much,so we will primary study his essays,from his works we can get a summary of his character.Another one of his works,named Feng Guang Hao,was recorded in Yu Hu Qing Hua,which couldn’t show his talent.The third part we will talk about his work named Qing Yi Lu,this book is his only intact literature now,it recorded around the local conditions and customs from Tang Dynasty to Song Dynasty,we will discuss the background and the cause of formation of the book,compare the book and the similar works,and make a summary for Qing Yi Lu,then we will conclude the relationship between this book and Wen Xuan.At last,we will compare Qing Yi Lu and Genus-book,to make sure their similarities and differences,then we can get the influence of this book,and make the value of it.
