After the South Korean Drama named “Dae Jang Geum” had broadcast in China and the southeast of Asia then caused a rating storm. This TV play has not only become one of the favorite TV plays among Chinese audience, but also become a classic case of Korean teleplay that imported in China. According to report, the most difference between “Dae Jang Geum” and other Korean teleplays is that it first time made Chinese biggest names want to resist “Korean wave” one by another. But “Dae Jang Geum” is not the special individual cases, the high rating of Korean teleplays in China has become a sustainable phenomenon such as “The Heirs” and “My Love From the Star”. Especially “My Love From the Star” received the top rating in Korea, it swept over Asia rapidly. Just in China, “My Love From the Star” was watched on the internet over 3 billion and it was been considered as the most popular Korean teleplay since China has social media. It was not only mentioned in two sessions but also found in front page of American “Washington Post” and “Wall Street Journal”.But at the same time, the production standards of Chinese teleplays has been promoting continuously and begin to enter the international market. A Chinese TV play called ”Empresses in the Palace” was broadcast in 2011 had reached a super high rating both in China and Taiwan. This Chinese TV play was also cut in six-part series and broadcast in America.Based on the above objective factor, this article focuses on the characteristics and differences of using dramatized elements between China and South Korea’s excellent TV series. First of all, this article will compare the difference of characters designing between China and South Korea’s TV series, and choose the positive and opposite cases especially from idol dramas and family ethics TV series. The comparison of space scene, clothing and props have also been researched in this part. Second, this article will pay particular attention to the comparison of actions and conflict between Chinese and South Korean TV series. In this part, I also choose some classical teleplays as case and make a deep research. What’s more, this paper made the comparison of rhythm and suspense between Chinese and South Korean TV play, focus on analyzing the similarities and differences. Especially make a comprehensive analysis and study on the advantage that South Korean TV series better than Chinese teleplays. Last but not least, this paper provides some suggestions to enhance the production standards of Chinese teleplay and make it move towards the world more quickly.
