Culture embodied by festivals is colored by a strong humanistic character and reflects the essence of a national culture. Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn are the most important festivals both in China and South Korea so as to rank the top in cultural systems of the two countries. This thesis paper firstly makes a basic study on Spring festival and Mid-Autumn in China and South Korea and then goes forward to investigate differences of the two festivals in two countries from the view of comparative analysis. At the base if above analysis, a teaching plan is presented as follows:With the purpose of presenting general characteristics of Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn in China and South Korea, first chapter makes an introduction of the two festivals on origin, custom and current situation.Chapter two makes a generalized conclusion on similarities and differences of Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn in the two countries in order to disclose the differences between Chinese culture and Korean culture in terms of national psychology and its connotation.Chapter Three applies studies and investigation to the teaching of Chinese traditional culture to South Korean students. This part presents a teaching plan by taking Spring Festival as an example, having the aim of offering a practical example to Chinese culture teaching.
