This is a translation report on the Tales of A Fourth Grade Nothing that written by Judy·Blume,who is a famous popular American author of children’s literature.The novel is noted for writing and striking features, and deeply loved by the reader of children.With the theoretical guidance of skopos theory in the translation process, the translator follows its three rules and the features of children’s literature, having a proper analysis about overlap word,onomatopoeia, interjection, adverb of degree. And the essay adopts the translation strategies.The expression in the target language and faithful translation of the original meaning are obtained.The translation report has five parts. The first part explain the meaning of project. The second part gives a brief introduction of author and work. The third part introduces skopos theory. The forth part explain the translation skills by the guidance of the skopos theory.The last one makes a conclution to this whole project, including translation experience and comprehension.The translation report gives me some practical and theoretical experience. And it can enhance the translator’s practice capability. To a large extent, this report also raise some lights on the significance of applying the Skopos theory to the chilren’s literary translation.
