The Organization And Research On The Late Tang Dynasty Epitaphs From The New Epitaphs Collection Of Qin Jin Yu

The New Epitaphs Collection of Qin Jin Yu is a set of book which collected The Epitaph Rubbings. It has been published in 2012, which compiled by two professors named Zhao Junping and Zhao Wencheng. The set of book include more than 900 new found Epitaph Rubbings, It mostly came from three places, and one of these is Luoyang in Henan Province, which was the old east capital of Tang Dynasty. The second is the Tang Dynasty capital Shaanxi. The last is Shanxi, which was the place The Dynasty’s industry thriving. In the new found Epitaphs, there are 101 late Tang Dynasty (836-907) Epitaphs. These Epitaphs’masters were mostly local officials and civilians who have not been recorded in the history books. But there also include the prominent and famous persons’epitaphs during that period, like the famous poet Yao He. the Prime Minister Cui Dan and Yang Shou, the core character of Wei Bo buffer region Shi Xiaozhang. As celebrities, their epitaphs were mostly written by calligraphy connoisseurs. The epitaphs not only writing well, but also detailed, real and reliable. These will provide The Academia a lot of material. The researchers could not only use these to supply and revise the history books, like through the poet Yao He’s epitaph to supply and correct The biography of Tang Dynasty s wits and All Ancient Chinese poetry of the Tang Dynasty. Through the epitaphs of the Prime minister Cui Dan and Yang Shou, the researchers could make up for omissions of The New and Old history books of Tang Dynasty. And use Shi Xiaozhang’s to research the buffer regions during that time. But also, these epitaphs will help to study about the culture and the daily life of the late Tang Dynasty. In the language and words aspect, although these epitaphs keep permanent pattern in content and form, but there were still some changes in words and vocabulary. We can organize and research the words and vocabulary, then to find the regular.The thesis most constitute of three parts:the introduction, the annotation and the project. In the part of introduction, mostly introduce the summary of the research materials, the significance, status, method and difficulties of this research. In addition, make sure that the article structure will be harmonious; The annotation is the main part of the thesis, account for the vast majority of the article. Organize and comb the interpretation which have been verified many times, then choose the words and allusions which are obscure, hard to understand, uncommon or the meaning have changed to check, prove and annotate. For the character variants in the thesis, introduce through the aspect of the evolution of the character variants, and try to find the trajectory of evolution. And through studying the history person and accidents, to supply and revise the history books. The project includes:use the materials to revise the book Research to all secretariats of Tang Dynasty and the book Research to commissioners of Tang Dynasty which both written by Yu Xianhao and the book Research to the officers on the column of Council of Decision Making by Imperial Order of Tang Dynasty written by Zhao Yue and Lao Ge in Qing dynasty, which later revised and supplied by Cen Zhongmian.
