Vocabulary and culture are inseparable. In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,vocabulary teaching and culture teaching should be synchronized. Foreign students are also learning the profound Chinese culture when they are learning vocabulary. In this paper, we center on the cultural words which from syllabus of graded words for Chinese proficiency, On the basis of a conclusion of the previous scholars’ researches,this paper defines cultural vocabulary into dominant culture words and recessive culture words on the basis of the extent of difficulty and the degree of definition of culture words in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. On the basis of a new definition and classification of cultural words, this paper puts forward some teaching principles of cultural words teaching,Based on those principles, this paper give several specific teaching methods for vocabulary teaching in the teaching of Chinese as a second language, in order to help the vocabulary teaching of teaching Chinese as a second language. |
