The peasantry is the basic force of the Chinese New Democratic Revolution. In China, the peasant takes up the majority of the population, so mobilizing and liberating them is of great importance for the development and victory of China’s democratic revolution. “Those who solve the peasants’ problems win all.” Karl Marx once said:only when the peasants join in the revolution vigorously, “can the proletariat revolution get a chorus, if there is no chorus, the solo among the peasants will become a plaintive whine Inevitably”.During the Great Revolution, China was a backward agricultural country,” the peasants accounted for 80 percent to 90 percent of the population and took up the majority of it. How to treat the peasants is the key to the success of China’s revolution ”. In order to make the Northern Expedition come ture, there was a need that most of peasants shall take part in it. But Henan was the only way which must be passed. So the CPC had maken a decision that it would call up all the peasants to take part in helping get the success of the Northern Revolutionary. However, the peasants in the east of Henan such as Suixian,Qixian and Taikang, who had a strong desire for taking part in the revolution, due to the terrible survival condition. In May 1927, under the leadership of the CPC, when the Northern Expedition arrived in Henan province, the peasants in east of Henan launched an armed uprising vigorously in the name of the National Revolutionary Army, which became a bigger peasant movement in the history of East Henan. This peasant movement not only mobilized the local people to join the revolution, but also worked cooperatively to the Northern Expedition, spreading the revolutionary spirits in East Henan. The movement had not only defeated the local rebels snobbery, but also made the long-cherished wish come ture. The reason why this peasant movement could get succeeded was not only the local masses’ vigorous revolutionary demands, but also that it was for the CPC’s active leadership. At the same time, the success mostly owed to the contribution of the great members of the Communist Party like Wu Zhipu, Zhang Haifeng and so on, who had the steady belief of the revolution and advanced revolutionary technologies.Through analyzing and trimming lots of historical materials, and then researching the development of the peasant movement in East Henan, which not only restores the truth of history. We then can find out the thoughts and meathods for calling up peasants to take part in the Chinese New Democratic Revolution, which is very useful for dealing with issues of farmers for today. What is more that it has a great significance for today’s socialist modernization.
