In modern China is a big change in transformation from a traditional society to modern society, one of the important content is farmers from the traditional kinship, clan organizations, has gradually become the main body of the rural social political and economic relations, while the peasant associations as beyond clan society organization in the process of this change has very important significance. It is typical to study the development of hunan peasant associations in the whole period of the national revolution and even the development and changes of the peasant associations in the modern history of China. On the basis of determining the research background and significance of the topic, this paper analyzes the establishment, development and weakness of hunan Provincial Peasant association on the eve of the national revolution, during the northern expedition of the National Revolution and at the end of the National revolution. In the modern history of China, the emergence of peasant associations as a group organization to transform the society came after the establishment of the Communist Party of China in 1921.This new type of peasant associations has been fundamentally different from those in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.Although it also made some improvement of agricultural activities, but the period of the peasant association is no longer the agricultural consultancy service for the government, but by the Chinese communist party founded and direct leadership, and developed in the kmt-cpc cooperation under the banner of social organization,is a kind of to the masses of poor farmers as the main body,to overthrow the feudal landlord regime for the purpose of strong political struggle colour and nature of the regime of farmer autonomy organization. The great National Revolution in 1924,jointly carried out by the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, promoted the development and expansion of the peasant associations, and the organization and movement of the peasant associations entered the "golden age" of rapid development in this period. The development and expansion of the peasant associations and the relevant measures they adopted had a great impactat that time, especially the earth-shaking great revolution activities in rural areas, which had a profound impact on Chinese society in terms of politics, economy, culture and so on.However, the historical limitations of the activities of the peasant associations in this period were also quite obvious, with some "left" deviations and mistakes, and there were also great differences among different regions in the process of organizational development. The organizational movement of the Peasant associations in Hunan province gradually weakened, and even went underground completely after the northern expedition, becoming a gray organization.Throughout the development course of Hunan peasant association during the period of national revolution, from the early secret establishment of underground peasant association,to the middle stage of national revolution, hunan Peasant Association developed and grew, and then gradually weakened and died out at the end of national revolution. In this process, many peasant movements organized and carried out by Hunan Provincial Peasant Association have made important contributions to the promotion of the revolutionary process and promoted the smooth development of the national revolution. However, due to its own defects in the specific measures of peasant activities,as well as the change of the Kuomintang policy, the decline is regrettable. When we study the development process of Hunan Agricultural Association,we should objectively evaluate its historical significance and historical limitations.
