The Analysis For Stroke Change Of Mawangdui Bambooslips

Chinese Philology is ancient and magic. Recently, the study on Chinese characters achieved more attention along with the developing of the Chinese philology. The publication of 《Essays of ancient fonts》 written by Qi Gong formally marked the establishment of Chinese philology. The main tasks of the font research include describing the evolutionary process in each period imeticulously, analysing the evolutionary reasons scientifically and reveal the evolutionary rules of font.In order to finish this task, this paper selected Mawangdui bambooslips as the main study subjects. Mawangdui bambooslips are not only the text words but also the transcribed words of classic writings.They are similar to the ordinary handwritings which used at that time and can reflect the original of Chinese characters that belong to that era.Meanwhile Mawangdui bambooslips were transcribed from the Qin dynasty to the early Western Han dynasty when the ancient Chinese characters changed a lot. So we can reveal how the ancient Chinese characters evoluate and form modern rules.This paper can be specifically devided into six parts.The introduction of this thesis simply illuminates research background and status quo of Chinese characters and the text value,research content,methods and materials of Mawangdui bambooslips.Chapter two will describ and summerize the changes of the font in Mawangdui bambooslips from typeface and gesture.Chapter three will summerize the change rule of the font stroke in Mawangdui bambooslips by comparing with fewer-stroke and explore the reason of changing and forming trend of font.Chapter four will analyze the factors that made the font change from five aspects.Chapter five will reveal the relation between the changes of font shapes and constructions including the diffierences between the changes of font shapes and constructions,how the changes of font shapes influenced the changes of constructions and how the changes of constructions influenced the changes of constructions font shapes.Chapter six will introduce the relationship between changes and styles of font including the relationship between shape and style and how the font shape influenced the font style.
