It is a common phenomenon that official script and its applied scripts exist at the same time. The reason why these two kinds of scripts appear simultaneously is that physiological habits and content are needed in a character system.New official script is the applied script of official script.New official script contains early regular script, early running script and early cursive script. There are many kinds of scripts in Loulan papers, which make Loulan papers become the precious materials to study script evolution at the turn of the third and the fourth century. The discovery of Loulan papers has supplied the lack of writing materials in Weijin Dynasty. This article focuses on the early regular script of new official script to find the evolution of regular script and holds the view that the evolution had not only been in character construction but in strokes simplification.Following the direction of writing brush, having up and down movement in writing and reducing waving-form strokes are the major performance of the simplifying process. This article takes Loulan papers as the main example and takes Dunhuang papers and Zoumalou bamboo and wooden slips as contrast sample to analyze the transform from official script to regular script. The research is divided into horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and turning strokes. Each stroke is divided into three stages, which include the start,in the course and the end of writing process.Basing on the data, the conclusion is that until the turn of the third and the fourth century, regular script had been matured with few official script characteristics. In this process, different stroke form evolved differently.
