Under the traditional education system all the time, the higher normal universities attach much importance to the development of students’ professional skills in teaching. Through the diversified explorations of undergraduate theses of Musicology in higher normal universities, we can train musicological talents adapting more to the social demands. The value of the research on diversified evaluation models of Musicology lies at displaying fully the levels of students’ professional skills. It is a pratical assessment of students’ professional skills, which contributes to the combinaion of teaching, practice and theories. We cultivate students to utilize professional knowledge to solve the problems in the work, which can improve comprehensively the students’ innovation consciousness and exploring spirit, developing students’abilities of practice, post, scientific research and autonomous learning, etc. Such music teachers can teach well in primary and secondary schools to cultivate students who are full of innovation spirit.First of all, through investigations by designing the questionnaires, we can find out the status quo of undergraduate thesis designs in Musicology is that students aren’t serious for thesis writing and the plagiarism phenomenon through network is common, so the qualities of undergraduate theses are low. Analyzing further on it, there are many problems as follow:excessive topics, poor writing abilities and the shortage of teachers.Second, the induction of common problems about undergraduate thesis designs in Musicology of higher normal universities boils down to the main reason that thesis writing can’t fully reflect professional skills of art graduates because of the single form of theses. Schools neglect to guide graduates on thesis designs and don’t strengthen the course guidance about it. The network time makes graduates acquire information more rapidly and easily, conveniently for data collecting and consulting, which gives graduates more opportunities.Finally, we put forward the measure to innovate thesis designs of Musicological students in higher normal universities that from the diversified thesis designs, aiming at the speciality of art professional skills and strengthening the abilities of stage performance or class practice to make plans for undergraduate thesis designs of Musicological students appropriately, it lets the designs reflect the important position of four-year study in universities and makes students be prepared for the new jobs after graduation.
