Gifted children refer to the supernormal children, who have significant advance on psychological qualities(intelligence, creativity and non-intelligence) compared to normal children, have some special skills, actual achievements or potentials. Time management disposition is characteristic of psychological and behavioral for individual in treating function of time, value and the way of time application, it can be divided into the sense of time value, time monitoring and self-efficacy of three dimensions, it is a kind of personality traits, developing the gifted children in all aspects. This study investigates the age characteristics and gender differences of the gifted children’s time management disposition, compared with normal children, investigates its related influential factors. It also provides a theoretical basis for the education of gifted children’s time management disposition, promoting the time management skills of normal children, and help for normal children’s development.This study selected 231 gifted children as subjects through advisor recommended from "gifted children classes" in Psychological Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, "Xu Teli class" of Beijing Yucai middle school, and" exceed constant education classes” of the Eighth middle school of Beijing. Investigating gifted children’s time management tendency of grade and gender difference according the primary school of grade five, six, and milldle school students by questionnaire, exploring its development characteristic. Using the questionnaire method to investigate primary school grade five, six, and middle school students the difference of the time management disposition between supernormal and normal children. Using the questionnaire method to investigate primary school grade five, six, and milldle school students of time management disposition,achievement motivation, psychological control source, and the relationship between parents upbringing for gifted children.The results reveal that:(1) There are statistical significance among primary school of the grade five, grade six, and middle school students among gifted children, time management tendency development level appear significant grade differences. The rapid development in the fifth grade to sixth grade, and the other slow development, the grade six is the critical period development of time management disposition for gifted child. The development of gifted children in time management tendency exist no significant gender differences in each grade, male and female are basically the same.(2) The time management tendency development level of gifted children in each grade is higher than normal children in totality and different dimensions.(3) Each grade of gifted children’s time management tendency of each dimension, the total score exist significant positively related to the motivation of pursuit of success, and negatively correlated to avoid failure but not significant,and mental control source exists significant negative correlation. For father’s emotional warmth, preference subjects was significantly positive correlation, self-efficacy of time with his father’s punishing, excessive interference has significant negative correlation. For mother’s emotional warmth, preference subjects was significantly positively related.
