Professional commitment refers to some kind of professional identity and involvement, it comes from the organizational commitment and career commitment research. This study even use the definition college students’ professional commitment means college students’ identify with his major and willing to pay the corresponding to a positive attitude and behavior as the foundation,which Lian Rong, Yang Lixian and Wu Lanhua raised in2005. Using SEM to study the relationships among time management disposition, achievement motivation and professional commitment of college students. Using500college students as subjects to test the hypothesis in pilot study. The result is achievement motivation shows statistically significant partial mediating effects on the relationships between the sense of time value and professional commitment. Then using1100college students as subjects in formal study. The primary results are as follows:(1) The differences in gender of the three factors of time management disposition, motive to achieve success, motive to avoid failure, total score of professional commitment and its four factors are not statistically significant. But the gender difference of the total score of achievement motivation is statistically significant, girl students scored higher than girl students.(2) The difference in major of the score of the sense of time value is statistically significant,students majored in art scored higher than students majored in science. The differences in major of the total score of achievement motivation and its two factors are not statistically significant.The differences in major of the score of emotional commitment and normative commitment are not statistically significant. And the differences in major of the score of ideal commitment, continuance commitment and total score of professional commitment are statistically significant.(3) The differences in native place of the three factors of time management disposition, the total score of achievement motivation, motive to achieve success, total score of professional commitment and its four factors are not statistically significant. But the difference in native place of motive to avoid failure is statistically significant, the cities students scored higher than the rural students. (4) The differences in grade of the three factors of time management disposition are statistically significant, the freshmen had higher scores than the sophomores and juniors. The differences in grade of the total score of achievement motivation and its two factors are statistically significant, the freshmen and juniors are higher than the sophomores. The differences in grade of total score of professional commitment and its four factors are statistically significant. The freshmen scored higher than the sophomores and juniors and the seniors scored higher than the juniors in ideal commitment. The freshmen scored highest in emotional commitment, normative commitment and continuance commitment.(5)A strong, positive correlation is found between the sense of time value and the total score of achievement motivation, also the correlation between the sense of time value and motive to achieve success is significantly positive. The correlation between the sense of time value and motive to avoid failure is significantly positive. The correlation between time monitoring concept and motive to achieve success is significantly positive, while the correlation between time monitoring concept and motive to avoid failure is significantly negative. The self-efficacy of time has positive relationship with the total score of achievement motivation,and the self-efficacy of time has positive relationship with motive to achieve success, while it has negative relationship with motive to avoid failure.(6) The sense of time value and the self-efficacy of time show statistically significant positive effects in predicting professional commitment, achievement motivation shows statistically significant positive effects in predicting professional commitment. Achievement motivation shows statistically significant partial mediating effects on the relationships between the sense of time value and professional commitment, and also between the self-efficacy of time and professional commitment. But achievement motivation doesn’t show any statistically significant mediating effects on the relationships between time monitoring concept and professional commitment.
