With the transformation of economic development way in our country these years, the vocational college students are required to be more professional. However, the academic procrastination is greatly restricting the development of the higher vocational students’ professional development. In order to understand the students’ academic procrastination situation and investigate why, we took 272 students in a vocational college of Changzhou, Jiangsu province as participants. Based on the comprehensive theory and the questionnaire, we analysis the relationship between academic procrastination, time management disposition and achievement motivation. The main contents are as follows: We analysis the differences of academic procrastination of the vocational college students in different grades from Grade 1 to Grade 4. Also we find the relationship between academic procrastination, time management disposition and achievement motivation. At last, we researched the predictive effect of time management disposition on the academic procrastination.And the main research conclusion is as follows:Firstly, there is a significant difference in the degree of academic procrastination. The academic procrastination scores of Grade 1 is the lowest. The academic procrastination scores of Grade 2 get higher. The academic procrastination scores of Grade 3 are lower than the scores of Grade 2. The scores of Grade 4 is the highest.Secondly, time management disposition and each of its dimension have a significant negative correlation with students’ scores in academic procrastination. While achievement motivation have no correlation with academic procrastination. That means the students with good time management disposition will have few academic procrastination behaviors and achievement have nothing to do with academic procrastination. Therefore we should strengthen the time management disposition in order to help vocational college students overcome academic procrastination.Thirdly, the time management disposition have significant predictive effect on the academic procrastination.Fourthly, the academic procrastination scores of high time management disposition students are much lower than the students with high time management disposition.
