| It can be said that historical documentary flims are unique to China.Generally speaking,the definition of that is a non fictional narrative flim type,which is based on historical documents and has the documentation esthetics modality.This type of film is mainly focused on actual historical events.From 21 th century,documentary is no longer the entertainment for only a handful of people,but to come into public notice.Especially when some high quality flims were emerged,it changed the public understanding towards documentary completely.This change comes from creation and progress they made in its producing.historical documentary flims are no longer what people used to think.They are no longer just about putting flies and documents together.Producers have made a break through in the expression of audio–visual language.theyve got rid of the old boring stereotype and begin to look attractive.This essay will study for the function of audio-visual language in the historical documentary flims from every aspect.It divides into 4 parts.First part brings out the purpose and its meaning of this study.The second part starts from the definition of documentary and gives a brief introduction about its evolution and development to make a better explanation about historical documentary flims.The third part consulted from the rich corpus of<the forbidden city><the forbidden city 100><road to revive><the old summer palace><the historical and cultural feature programs about Ba Yu> and combined with my very own experience in shooting documentary to give a very specific analyze of historical documentary flims from 3 perspectives–the camera language,the color language and the hearing language.In the end,the essay brings up some advice about how the audio-visual language should improve,hoping this study could make contribution to its progress. |
