Documentary is a form of artistic expression that combines audio and visual elements,showcasing stories,events,or themes through dynamic presentation,with the mission of exploring,protecting,and inheriting ethnic culture.The combination of documentary and "ethnography" provides a unique dynamic image language of audio-visual combination for documentary.Through in-depth exploration and inheritance of ethnic culture,documentaries can provide viewers with visual and auditory intuitive experiences.This combination not only allows the audience to better understand and understand ethnic culture,but also allows them to feel the charm and uniqueness of ethnic culture.The combination of authenticity and artistry vividly presents China’s excellent ethnic culture,thus achieving the purpose of documentary shooting.The creation of "ethnography" documentary not only records the minority culture,but also has the mission of protecting,inheriting and promoting the minority culture,which plays an important role in the future development of minority culture.Guided by the relevant theory of "ethnography" documentary creation,and combined with the practical experience of the graduation design work "Looking for White Horse in Longshang",this paper has new inspiration and exploration for the development and dissemination of ethnography documentary.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part analyzes the research background,research significance,research methods,and the theory and creation status of ethnography documentaries at home and abroad through a large number of theoretical research and practice,using literature research,image analysis,field observation and other methods;The second part defines the concept of ethnography documentary,and analyzes the value orientation of ethnography documentary;The third part analyzes the artistic creation in combination with the documentary "Looking for White Horse in Longshang",builds popular audio-visual language with lens language and auditory elements,constructs narrative aesthetics with narrative content,narrative skills and narrative perspective,and probes into the artistic creation of the ethnography documentary "Looking for White Horse in Longshang" with the documentary beauty of humanistic care and subjective and objective blending;The fourth part mainly discusses the challenges and innovations faced by ethnography documentaries,opportunities and reflections,and the creative thinking of "ethnography" documentaries.By refining the essence,it can arouse the public’s thinking and affirmation of the works.The innovation points of this article are divided into three aspects.The first is the combination of ethnography documentaries and cinematic creation as the starting point,the second is the combination of the oral presentation of the ethnic culture inheritors with the pictures,and the third is the combination of commentaries,screen colors and background music to improve the interest and viewability of the film.Innovation is made from these three points,hoping to provide reference for other creators through the interpretation of ethnography documentaries.I also hope that with the help of this article’s discussion,more people can pay attention to ethnic minorities and protect the endangered ethnic cultures.
