This is a project report on the translation of Quality in Professional Translation:Assessment and Improvement(Chapter 2) written by Joanna Drugan from University of East Anglia(UEA), UK. The source text(ST) discusses in detail why there is no objective translation assessment model from the aspects of theory and practice. By translating the ST, the writer of this translation report has gained a clearer picture about the gap and disparity between the translation theory and practice so as to become better prepared for the industry. This translation project can also awaken academics’ awareness about the problems in translation studies and enlighten them to become more focused on industry needs.
