In the real life, the scale of father involving in family education is not optimisticbecause of the following factors: the traditional culture, the development of society、father themselves and so on. For the children, their growing up process is not perfectif their father not involving in. Recent years,the research of father presence which isidentified from the child’s perspective has been a new area in the research ofParent-child relationship. High quality of father presence is a positive condition, thusit will be good on the development of child’s psychological. Domestic and foreignscholars who made the mental health assessment standards agreed that the relationshipis a significant standard to assess the mental health and also the one of the mainobjective factors to making a welling relationship. The research found that there is acorrelation between the interpersonal trust and education from parents. In addition, itwill also predict the feature of child’s interpersonal trust. However, the previousstudies did not separate the independent influence of father.After studying the research from the domestic and foreign scholars, the paperaim to understand the situation of father presence from the students and the feature ofinterpersonal trust. On the other hand, this paper will discuss the relationship betweenthe students’ father presence and interpersonal trust. The research used questionnairesand case to analysis, with analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regressionanalysis and other methods to study the condition of mental health and interpersonaltrust. Mainly the following conclusions:1. Father presence, respectively, in terms of gender, the only child, studentleaders, students’ source variables, has making a significant difference. Girl’s fatherpresence which was significantly higher than males, the only child is higher thannon-only child, and student leaders is higher than non-student leaders and urbanstudents is higher than rural students.2. Interpersonal trust showed significant differences among the different grades.The juniors scored significantly higher than freshmen and seniors. Trust in authorityshowed the significant differences among the factor of gender. As result, it showed theboy is higher than girls. Additionally, it also has significant difference among thevariables in the only child: the only child is higher than non-only child. The promisedtrust is different between among the factor of student leader: the student leader is higher than non-student leader.3. Father presence and interpersonal trust exists the significant correlation. Thedimension of relationship with father, skeptical, on the authority of trust, promisetrust, behavior trust have positive correlation. The dimension of intergenerationalrelations and the interpersonal trust-skeptical, trust in authority, commitmentconfidence was a significant positive correlation.4. The dimension of interaction with father’s body, the relationship betweenfather and grandfather, the relationship between mother and grandfather, how themother support relationship between father and child can positive predict the level thestudents’interpersonal trust.
