Zhaohua Temple amphibious religious mural art is one of the extremely valuableworks of art. Its artistic value can be comparable with " Dunhuang frescoes " and "Yongle Palace Murals ". It was created in the Ming Danasty (Jiajing period). This muralart has a unique religious art theme and be created based on “three religions ". It isbecause of such unique background and theme that makes it more valuable forresearching. This essay has four chapters, starting from the research of amphibiousZhaohua Temple mural art. The first chapter describes the historical background,domestic and international research and the distribution of the existing mural arts. Thesecond chapter is mainly focuses on studies of mural themes and content, including thereligious environment at that time, religion, folk deity worship and other aspects.Language arts is the start of the third chapter. This chapter specifically introduce ZhaohuaTemple amphibious mural’s formal language features from the detail analysis of aestheticcomposition, color matching and modeling tools in these three areas. The final chapter isthe researching on Zhaohua temple mural art from two sides, one is the importantposition of Zhaohua Temple in the history of painting, and another is its influence onmodern painting. By exploring these two areas, the artistic value of the land and seamural and contribution to modern Chinese figure painting have been presented.Formal language can not only be said as the most intuitive visual form, but also themost important expressions of art forms.
