| This is a translation project report for the first two chapters of Wellness andPhysical Therapy, the main content of the two chapters in the book is to discuss thebasic concepts and applications of wellness and physical therapy, such as theperspective of people in the environment, the biological-psychology-social model,hygiene and medical health care, treatment and wellness, and put these concept inthe three basic levels of hygiene service interventions, and wellness practitioners,physical therapy services and physical therapy education and so on.The translation project is composed of four chapters. Chapter one is theintroduction of translation projects, including the project background, objectives, andsignificance, etc. Chapter two describes the background of the original, includingauthor’s brief introduction, the main contents of the original, in the evaluation of theoriginal and its linguistic features, etc. Chapter three is Translation Difficulties andMethodologies, including translation difficulties,something about Skopos Theory andtranslation methodologies. Chapter four is Conclusions, including the experiencesfrom the project, lessons from the project and limitations of the study and prospectsfor further study.Under the guidance of the text type theory, the ST is classified as aninformative-function text, and the author analyzes the linguistic feature of the ST. Theaim of the translation is to accurately convey the original information and ensure thereadability of the ST. The report itself on Skopos Theory that has been applied inEnglish for Science and Technology (EST) translation; combing with the author’sexperience in translation, endeavors to emphasize the importance of applying SkoposTheory in EST translation. |
