Career calling can be defined as an internal feeling which resulted from the process ofpurchasing career goal. Research on the structure, the formation and the influence mechanism ofcareer calling helps us understand the real meaning of career calling against Chinese culture, theformation and influence process of career calling.Through the paper analysis, The expert group discussion, open-ended questionnaire, wemade pre-tested questionnaire. After the item analysis, Reliability test, Exploratory factoranalysis, we confirmed a four-dimensional structure. Basis on the previous work, we adoptedrelevance research, regression analysis,and structural equation model to analyze the relationshipof the relevant variances as follows:(1) Career calling is a four-dimensional structure, whichcontains internal calling, pro-social, job meaning, internal motivation.(2) Organizational virtuehas positive influence on career calling, in which process the altruism plays the most importantrole.(3) Career calling and all the sub-dimensions pose a positive influence on the careercommitment.(4) Career commitment pose a positive influence on the contextual performanceand all the sub-dimensions.(5) Career calling pose a positive influence on the contextualperformance and all the sub-dimensions,in which process the interpersonal promotion is affectedmostly.(6) The mediating effects of career commitment between career calling and contextualperformance has reached significant level.Finally, the result about above research is discussed on the basis of relevant research toenlighten management practice and. After that, we proposed some disadvantage and guidingfuture research.
