As the intermediate stage of the development of Ancient Chinese and Middle Chinese to Contemporary Chinese, Pre-modern Chinese had witnessed many grammar phenomena developed to mature in this period. In the Auxiliary Word of Modern Chinese, Caoguangshun pointed out:"Compared to the auxiliary system of Ancient Chinese, pre-modern Chinese not only use of different words, and appearred some small group of auxiliary that Ancient Chinese without, this new auxiliary system, is one of the major difference between the grammar of pre-modern Chinese and Ancient Chinese, therefore, the emergence and formation of auxiliary system of pre-modern Chinese, is also one of the main symbols of the formation of pre-modern Chinese."This shows that pre-modern Chinese auxiliary research has important significance on the Pre-modern Chinese grammar research.Study on particular book is important component of Pre-modern Chinese research, so this paper chooses XiYouShi ’E’ Zhuan. This book published in Wanli of the Ming Dynasty, its language was vernacular, but the language system of this book hasn’t involved in any research.Study on the auxiliary system of this book is beneficial not only to investigate the features of the language in XiYouShi’E’Zhuan, but also provide more materials for the research into auxiliary system of the Ming Dynasty, lays a foundation of the development of auxiliary word in various periods of pre-modern Chinese, and we can reveal the law of the development of grammar better. This article sorts out four types of auxiliary word, Structural Auxiliary Words, Dynamic Auxiliary Words, State Auxiliary Words and Modal Auxiliary Words. And it is divided into three parts:introduction, text, conclusion."Introduction" introduced the pre-modern Chinese auxiliary word research, XiYouShi ’E’ Zhuan research as well as the significance and method of the study of this book. The text is composed of four chapters, analysing the Structural Auxiliary Words, Dynamic Auxiliary Words, State Auxiliary Words and Modal Auxiliary Words respectively. And conclusion is the overall situation summary of the four types of auxiliary word. The first chapter of text analysis and description the seven Structural Auxiliary Words of "de1""de2""de1(de3)""zhi""zhe""suo""ge", and further concluded that: "di""di’has been alternated by "de";"dei""de2""dei (de3)" is the main Structural Auxiliary Word,"zhi""zhe""suo""ge"were in the secondary position. The second chapter comprehensively describes the Dynamic Auxiliary Word"lei""zhe""guo""jiang""de2""qi", thus conclude that:"le1""zhe""guo" is the main Dynamic Auxiliary Word, this pattern has the trend to develop to Pre-modern Chinese. The third chapter analyzes the "le2""lai", overall, State Auxiliary Words in this book have been declining,"le2" was close to modal word function in Pre-modern Chinese. The fourth chapter describing the Modal Auxiliary Words of "me""ba""ye""bale""he""ya""li""yeba""bianshi""de""zhe""yi""hu""zhai""er""ye",then draws the conclusion:the Modal Auxiliary Words in XiYouShi ’E’ Zhuan were rarely not asked and interrogative mood; the Modal Auxiliary Words system of this book was obviously different from Qing Dynasty and modern Chinese.By analysing the usage of four kinds of auxiliaary word, we draw three conclusions:1.except the Modal Auxiliary Words, the remaining class of auxiliary’s internal number tends to reduce.2. in XiYouShi’E’Zhuan, each class of auxiliary member’s function discrete gradually clear.3.of each type of auxiliary, its typical members’integration of functional use is not complete.
