A Brief Discussion About Problems Of English Translation Text In Museum Exhibition

Translation in museums is a kind of media, which undertakes the task ofcommunication between Chinese culture and western culture. China-foreignculture communication is becoming more frequently, meanwhile the socialdemands for museum translation is increasing. English is the most popularlanguage tool. Therefore, on the aspect of introducing and propagating Chineseculture, English translation text of museum exhibition plays an important role.There are abundant cultural relics underground in Henan area. They arerepresentative. In this paper, I take the English translation text as research objectwhich are from three museums exhibition in Henan province. Through theanalysis on the translation text of museum exhibition, we found out there arestill some non-standard translation texts in the museum, further summarizing theproblems existing in the translation work of museum. Finally, some suggestionsare put forward to make the translation text more standard in museums.
