The translation text is from thechapter2and part of chapter3of the book Ethnicity and Race, which elaborated theconnections and differences between ethnicity and race.It is a non-literature informative text. Under the guidance of Eugene A. Nida’stheory of dynamic equivalence, adopting the translation strategy of domesticationand foreignization, the author uses literary translation, free translation, convertion,omission and other translation methods to translate the text.The report was consisted of six parts: the task description, preparations beforethe translation, theory applied in the translation process, the difficult points in thetranslation, work after the translation and the summary of the translation practice.
