:In recent years, the Big Five personality tests and leaderless group discussion are widely used in evaluation section of recruitment. These two assessment tools have been proved by domestic and foreign researchers that they have a higher reliability and validity. However, both of them have their own shortcomings in the practice of human resource management.Big Five personality test as a self-report table has some issues such as carelessness, deception and reaction stereotype. Moreover, the results, whichare described in psychological terms, should have further explanation forthe requirementof human resource management. Leaderless group discussion requires rigorous design process and trained raters, leading to a high costs, greater workload and difficulty of the work.To solve the problems above, this study is to explore the relevance of various dimensionsof the results of the Big Five personality test and leaderless group discussion. Theoretically, it is a groundbreaking research in this area; from a practical point of view, it can the relationship between the two, establish a combination of assessment tools,which are complementary or alternative, to reducethe recruitment costs, evaluation workload and difficulty, as well asimprove the rate of recruiting qualified employees.This study revisedthe English version of Costa and McCrae’s NEO-PI-Rtable, which is the most widely used one of the Big Five, personality measurement tableand has a total of240projects. After translation, amendment, deleting32projects and revising22projects, the formal test tables finally was generated. The formal test took141MBA students as subjects, then, do the leaderless group discussion. By correlation analysison the various dimensions of the results of the Big Five test scores and leaderless group discussion, it concluded that:1. Analyzed correlativity with the scores of the Leaderless Group Discussion, the Big Five’s personality extraversion has a significant high correlation and conscientiousness has a higher correlation, and other dimensions have no significant correlation.2. There are significant correlations between the Big Five’s personality extraversion and four dimensions (appearance, responsibility, influence and mental strength) of Leaderless Group Discussion.3. The active dimension of Big Five has a significant correlation with the scores of the Leaderless Group Discussion.4. Big Five’s activeness, gregariousness and enthusiasm are significantly correlated with Leaderless Group Discussion’s appearance. Big Five’s activeness, responsibility and Leaderless Group Discussion’s teamwork are significantly correlated. Big Five’s frangibility, activeness, assertiveness and Confident arbitrary are significantly correlated with Leaderless Group Discussion’s influence, in which the frangibility and influence are significantly negatively correlated. Confident arbitrary and positive emotions are significantly correlated with mental strength.
