Background After several years of systematic observation, scientific experiments and factor analysis , sixteen personality factor questionaire was edited by the psychologist Raymond B. Catell from Institute of Personality and Ability Testing in Illinois, America. in 1950.It has been revised into different foreign versions after it was published.Those who use this scale test think it is quite a stable and credible measure instrument. There are three chinese versions. One is Liuyonghe's version which based on the people in HongKong and Taiwan. One is Lishaoyi's version which based on the people in Liaoning Province. The other is Daizhongheng's version which based on the people in universities and colleges. Because of the limitation of samples, it is hard to explain the problems caused by the scale analysis, and it will also bring in different results if choosing different subjects. According to the scale principle, it should be tested every three or five years.So the scale test can't be used to evaluate their personality if it has been used for more than ten years.As a special occupation, military personnel shoulder the responsibilities of protecting the domain integrity and people 's security. Their behaviour characters and culture habits are different from normal people because those factors are influenced by the environment and the improvement of their knowledge.
