The Research Of Idioms With Different Forms

This paper divides into six chapters altogether.Firstly,this paper enumerate theformer research about idioms with different forms.On the basis of this,the paper putforward the definition of the idioms with different forms,and this is the premis ofquantitative and qualitative analyses.Then the second part of this paper discuss thedefference between the idioms with different forms and synonymous Chineseidioms,cognate idioms and flexible usage of idioms,this is the basis of the research ofidioms with different forms.The third part of this paper is about the quantity analyse of idioms with differentforms.This paper choose seven representative dictionarier,include two generallinguistic dictionaries and five dictionaries of idioms.In order to show the existence ofidioms with different forms,besides these dictionaries there are three word list,and oneof them has been promulgated,and the other two are only drafts.This paper find morethan six hundred idioms with different forms,and all of them have four Chinesecharacters.In the fourth part of the paper,it is about the qualitative analyse of idioms withdifferent forms.Mainly focus on the research of the reasons and types.According tothe reason why idoms with different forms appear,they can be divided into sixtypes:because of variant forms of Chinese characters,because of heterographicwords,because of Tongjiazi,because of Gujinzi,because of universal characters andbecause of homophones or making a strained interpretation ofmotivation.Then,analyse the cultural psychology reason.The last part of this paper analyse the deficiency of the idioms with differentforms on the basis of comparing some dictionaries that contain idioms with differentforms conform to the specifications and how the dictionaries record and explainidioms with different forms according to the language facts and the current situationof idioms with different forms.Then make a brief summary at last.In short,looking into the idioms with different forms has important effect onlanguage specification,Chinese teaching,dictionary complication and the study ofwords and idioms.Hope this paper can inspire the future research of idioms with different forms.
