A Comparative Study On Zhuang's Idioms And Tay-Nung's Idioms

On the basis of the fieldwork and the historical documentary research, this paper adopts the theoretic approach of contrastive linguistics and cultural linguistics to investigate and research Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms, which aims to look for the generality and individuality, to find out the national cultural features reflecting the Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms, and it also analyzes and finds out the forming difference reasons from the geographical conditions, the social culture and so on.This paper will be discussed from four sections.The first section is a preface which clarifies the purpose and significance of writing this paper, introduces briefly this research's present situation and the achievements, and explains the adopted theory and methods of writing this paper.The second section is about the comparison of ontology of Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms. Firstly, it is about the referent(definition) of Zhuang's and Tay-Nung's idioms; Secondly, it is about the comparision of basic circumstances. It will compare from several aspects such as the idioms' constructions, contents, rhythm, rhetoric means, grammatical functions, pragmatic functions and so on, aiming to find out the generality and individuality.The third section is about the cultural implication analysis of Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms. Firstly, it will analyze and look for the common cultural features and valuable views of Zhuang's and Tay-Nung's nationality from the meanings of Zhuang's and Tay-Nung's idioms, especially from the vehicle involving things. Secondly, it is about the difference and its analysis of Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms: 1. the geographical environment influence. Idioms have a close connection with people's daily lives. The people who live in different geographical environment may contact different things, so the use of idioms' vehicle is different. 2. The influence of social environment and foreign cultures. Zhuang's nationality is affected deeply by Han Nationality language culture, and Tay-Nung's nationality is affected by the present culture and language of Vietnam more than Zhuang's nationality. 3. The different ways of language development result in the difference of idioms.The fourth section is a conclusion. Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms have a lot of common that illustrate the relationship between Zhuang language and Tay-Nung language. But for the influence of geographical environment and social environment and foreign cultures, Zhuang's idioms and Tay-Nung's idioms show different development.
