From incident9.18in1931to the unconditional surrender of Japan in1945, these14years witnessed the dog’s life of northeastern citizens. They screamed under thewarfare, and strengthened themselves in the pool of blood. Under the dominatingliterary mask of “Hanjian (traitor to the Chinese people) Literature”, the Japan-occupiednortheastern area nursed the new born people and progressive literature. On the basis ofMay Fourth new literature, the Literature of Northeastern Japan-occupied area takes itsbold attempt to native literary and started a distinct branch-Northeastern NativeLiterature (NNL).Liang shanding, a prolific writer of the Northeastern Japan-occupied area, is thevery exponent of NNL with his novels as the representative work of NNL. In thewar-time, conscientious writers always write with his national awareness. Liang is sucha conscientious writer with progressive thoughts who dares to expose the reality. Heendows every word with the direct and indirect rebellion of the northeast people andwrites the reality with twist art techniques.Since incident9.18, northeastern citizensstruggled under the invasion of Japanese troops. Writers as Liang shanding gave theaggressors forceful indictment by their works. As the invasion intended, the writerscomposed more active to describe the people they live with and the land they live on, aswell as to express their official sensation. This chapter tries to expose his officialsensation by exploring the deep love of Liang to his homeland and his admiration to thestrong-willed people.
