This paper mainly analyses the English version written by Ge Haowen of the Chinese contemporary novel<corn>,which was written by Bi Feiyu, and translated by Ge Haowen. We select a large number of examples from three aspects:the translatability part, the difficult translated part and the almost untranslatability part, to analyses the English version of the novel<corn>, in order to discuss the plight and hope of Chinese novel broadcasting to the world. There is much unique narrative skills in the novel<corn>,he often limits the narrative perception of the novel of the third-person narrator on a special person or a group of people, the feeling of the narrator somehow is the feeling of one or one kind person in the country.Or we can say the narrator is the speaker of someone or some people in this village.Through narrative skills, the author tries to present us a vivid picture of the consciousness of countryside|t and the complex feelings of the people.he consciousness of power. This is the most creative part in the novel of <corn>. And also this is the most concerned and the most challenged part for the translator in the translation. But Ge’s translation seems to be unsatisfactory in this respect.Overall, at present, the cultural exchange of China and the west are in an imbalanced situation. After all, Ge’s effort makes contemporary Chinese novel win a part of the English readers, and also win some attention of the European and American criticism. At present, both for Europen and the United States’s readers,or for the translators, Bi Feiyu maybe is still a contemporary writer of China, and is not necessarily a writer who has unique persuit on the narrative art. In this sense, The translation of Bi Feiyu as a Chinese writer is a success. But there is a long way to go for Bi from a writer of an "Oriental mysterious country (whether be regarded as Shangri-la or Dystopia)"to finally become a writer of unique pursuit of "narrative art(first and most of all). Maybe the Contemporary Chinese literature marching to the world has a lot to do with this problem.
