There are some relationships between the language and culture since theancient times. Every nation has its own culture which can be shown from thelanguage. The paper compares the uses and the characteristics of the kinshipaddress terms and social address terms, and then compares the similarities anddifferences between the two female cultures behind the language connotation. Onthe basis of the research at home and abroad, the paper analyzes the address termsand its characteristics, lays emphasis on the common ground, and compares thedifferences of the female culture of China and Thailand mainly from the twoaspects of kinship address terms and social address terms. By comparing, theauthor thinks that the common ground of Chinese female culture and Thai femaleculture includes that China and Thailand both had mother right period, women’sstatus of two countries had fallen down because of the culture, occupationappellation of China and Thailand reflects that division of labor in society is unfair.The differences are Chinese address terms reflects the Chinese Femalesubordination ideas and strict patriarchal clan system. Affected by the differentcultural moral codes, Chinese women’s status are slightly lower than Thai.
