Senior high school is an important turning point of a person’s life, where dream and reality, graduation and employment conflicts, which easily influences students’school adjustment and mental health, and even bringing their difficulty in adapting to society in the future. Therefore, it is of great importance to studying students’coping style, school adjustment and their relationships.With892students from three ordinary high schools of Yizheng, Jiangsu Province were involved, this study adopts approach of questionnaire and documents reference by description of the analysis, experiments, Data process, using the in to find the distinctions between effects of coping style and school adjustment on different students, then analyze the relationships between coping style and school adjustment, and finally give some constructive suggestions and measures.The results are shown in the following:(1)The order of students’coping style is:self dependence, looking for help, internalization, avoidance, externalization, which shows the better coping style among senior high school students.①There is great distinction between boys and girls.②Some differences still exist among three grades.③Great distinction shows in three schools.④As to avoidance, students in urban areas are higher than ones in towns,⑤students in experimental classes are better than ones in common classes.⑥There is no great difference between commuting students and boarders.(2) The condition of students’school adjustment is far from satisfying. The order of the five dimensions is anxiety, solitude, depression, self-respect, bully.①Great difference exists between boys and girls.②In school adjustment, there is certain difference among three grades.③students from school of different qualities show great difference in school adjustment.④There is no difference between students from urban areas or towns.⑤There is no difference between students from different classes.⑥Also no difference exists between commuting students and boarders.(3)There is a great connection between students coping style and school adjustment in senior high school.(4)Coping style could significantly predict the school adjustment.
