If for herself with any bad tag will bring the huge damage to her physical and mental development and daily life in this crucial time. Firstly, the concept of overweight self stigma was defined and a hypothetical model on overweight self stigma, coping style and school adjustment was proposed, based on literature review. Secondly, we choose overweight junior high school girls as the research objects and revised the overweight self-stigma questionnaire and the school adjustment inventory. On this basis, using the way of questionnaire investigation, we got measured data. Then, we use SPSS11.5and AMOS7.0to statistical analysis the result reveals the current situation of the girls' overweight self stigma, the relationship of overweight self stigma and coping style. Also we discuss the influence of overweight self stigma to school adjustment. The main research results are as follows:1. Overweight self stigma questionnaire and school adjustment questionnaire have good reliability and validity. Overweight self stigma questionnaire includes three dimensions:fear, inferiority and guilt; school adjustment questionnaire includes four dimensions:learning motivation, academic achievements, the teachers-students relationship and peer relationship.2. The status of overweight self stigma is, facing setbacks or stigma scene, the girls of overweight self stigma will be more tend to use the negative coping style, weak learning motivation and bad school adjustment.3. Comparing with the girls of both brothers and sisters and the only daughter or only brother or sister s'girls in the family, the former are more profound feelings of fear. On experience of overweight stigma feel, the girls who have only brothers are least. No matter in overweight self stigma, coping style or school adjustment, mothers form different situations, the scoring differences of girls are not significant. Although, the shape differences of fathers'have no significant influence to the overweight self stigma of junior high school girls, there is significant difference in peer relationship, motivation, and negative coping styles.4. Adolescent girls are stronger than the youth close girls in inferiority feeling and fear. Adolescent girls choose positive coping styles are less than others. About learning motivation, there are significant differences on menstrual history, In the third year, the learning motivation of girls declines, the study enthusiasm decreases.5. The relationship model of overweight self stigma, coping style and school adjustment can be accepted.
