As an important style in Chinese words system, prepositions’ study has been popular recently. Based on the predecessors’ study, the paper analyzes and researches the prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu entirely, in order to draw the outline of the prepositions’ usage.The paper is divided into four parts:The introduction part mainly discusses Jia Sixie, Qi Min Yao Shu and the general situation of prepositions’ study, which distinguishes the prepositions and verbs, prepositions and conjunctions.The second part analyzes the prepositions overall comprehensively, which is the main body of this paper. Firstly, it divides prepositions into single-tone and complex-tone. Secondly, single-tone prepositions are split into the five styles of time-position, object-range, tool, purpose, exclude-passiveness. By researching them, we can find: one, the order from more to less of the prepositions’ usage is time, object-range, position and tool, purpose, exclude-passiveness. It is obvious that the important usage of prepositions are time, object-range, position and tool in Qi Min Yao Shu. Two, Qi Min Yao Shu appears many emerging prepositions and their usages, such as "Yi""Sui", which are part of tool style,"Xiang""Gong" which belongs to object-range. Besides,"Wang""Tou" appear new usages. Three,"Yu""Hu""Zhu", which are uesd frequently in ancient Chinese language in Qi Min Yao Shu, have changed. Only "Yu"is still used,"Hu" and "Zhu" have disappeared. They are replaced by "Zai""Cong""Zi".The third part is to compare the prepositions of Qi Min Yao Shu and Luo Yang Qie Lan Ji. The nature of two books is different, but the date is the same. The same prepositions in two books are twenty-two, from the same prepositions’ usage, we can find:prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu are complex and collective but in Luo Yang Qie Lan Ji are relatively simple and balanced. From the number, the number of prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu is nearly doubled. And prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu but do not in Luo Yang Qie Lan Ji is more than that prepositions in Luo Yang Qie Lan Ji but do not in Qi Min Yao Shu.The fourth part is the end of paper, based on the analysis about the prepositions in Qi Min Yao Shu, outlines the prepositions’distribution characteristics in Qi Min Yao Shu.
