Negative state of mind in interpreting a relatively new research project in theinterpreting research field, while few previous studies was conducted to the strategiesto negative state of mind in media interpretation, so that practitioners working for themedia have to find their bearings on their haphazard and isolated own when mediacommunication boosts. Therefore, a study of the causes and strategies of negative stateof mind in media interpretation could shed some light on the ongoing research inChina. Combining the previous studies with the author’s personal experience, thisreport aims to delve into the features of media interpreting and seeks for the strategiesto negative state of mind in media interpretation. The author first gives out thedefinition of media interpreting and causes of negative state of mind in interpreting.Then he elaborates on the case study in the2010Qujiang-Australia Movie Week.What’s more, the report discusses the criteria for media interpreting. At last, the authorsummarizes eight strategies in dealing with negative state of mind in interpreting. Thisreport is expected to summarize the experience and provide strategies and arousepractitioners and researchers’ interest to make in-depth research in this field.
