Abstract/Summary:
People are concerned about the games online and adolescent relationships from theoriginal Internet addiction is gradually into the focus of general games online behavior.This study to explore the relationship among games online, mental health and family,trying to find games online’s influence on middle school students. This research adopts thefamily scale and the middle school student mental health scale and games online behaviorscale questionnaire survey was conducted among359middle school students in Lanzhou,through the analysis of variance, correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regressionstatistics methods.The results showed that:(1)As for the positive influence of online game, the middle school students’ non-IADdiffers significantly in gender, online games have more positive influence on girls thanboys; there is significant difference in grades, the impact of internet games on grades fromhigh to low in order is: students of senior1, students of senor1, students of junior2; andits influence on the only child, scores and mental level status is not remarkable.(2)With regard to the negative influence of online game, non-IAD has more negativeinfluence on boys than girls. There is difference in grade, its influence rises with theincrease of the grade; It has more negative influence on non-only child than only child;there is remarkable difference in examination scores and mental health, its influenceincreases with the decline of their academic record and mental health level.(3)For the middle school students, their parents’ education background and jobs donot have much significant influence on the positive impact of online games. whether theirparents play online games or not has negative correlation on their games online behaviorcharacteristics.(4)Such Mental health factors as friendlessness, psychological imbalance, learningpressure has a negatively predictable function to the behavior characteristics of gamesonline, and the intimacy and sense of organization of Family environment has a positivelypredictable function to it.
