As an important constitute of Chinese paintings, Burnt Ink Paintings have a unique expressive force, and accords with the painting development trend of "era innovation", and therefore more and more painters pay attention to and take up the study of Burnt Ink Paintings. Though it has been a long history since Burnt Ink Paintings developed, the number of painters who take burnt ink as their main painting means can almost be counted on one hand. In the history of related Chinese paintings studies, including the domestic studies and foreign studies, little or no studies are focused on the Display Techniques of Burnt Ink landscape Paintings, which makes this thesis valuable and meaningful since it is to clear out and summarize the display techniques of Burnt Ink Paintings.Based on the above situation, this thesis is to employ the methods of reference materials collecting, case study, comparison, image analysis and other methods, combining with personal practice and experience, to mainly expound the following points:First, this thesis is to give a systematic illustration to the form and development of Burnt Ink Paintings from three points of view:the initial present of Burnt Ink Paintings, the Burnt Ink factors in landscape paintings in Five Dynasties Period and Song And Yuan Period, and the establishment and explosion of Burnt Ink Paintings in Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty and modern times.Second, this thesis is to make comparison between traditional landscape paintings and Burnt Ink Paintings to probe into the technology starting point of the latter, such as the center and the side, strong ink and light ink, linear and point, sketch and brushwork, line group and block, operation and cadence, fast or slow, spare and dense, gathering and scattering and so on. It is to further illustrate the display techniques of Burnt Ink Paintings in details from the perspective of picture range, actual situation processing, and construction of picture composition.Third, this thesis, by introducing the relationship between Burnt Ink Paintings and regional display, language exploration of Burnt Ink landscape paintings and their technical ways, and combining the personal creating feelings and confusions of the author of this thesis, is to demonstrate the study findings and tries to explore new display techniques.
