Zhang Ding is a Master of Modern Chinese arts,spanning some art fields,and has unique artistic attainments.His suffering and insipid life experience make his Burnt-Ink landscape painting mixed with “heroic” sublimity and literati elegant insipid.Taking the conception creation of Zhang Ding’s Burnt-Ink landscape painting as the theme and combing it with personal understanding and feelings in the Burnt-Ink creation practices,this paper analyzes and sorts out the specific methods of conception creation in Zhang Ding’s painting works.In the scattered tree stone,cloud smoke,point method,and texturing method to find common and summarize,this study clarifies how the conception creation of Burnt-Ink to achieve a unique heroic “plain”.The thesis begins by overviewing the Burnt-Ink landscape painting and sorting out the concepts of artistic conception and conception creation.The second section of the paper analyzes the reasons for Zhang Ding’s choice of Burnt-Ink artistic language and elaborates on the connection between the sketching view and conception creation view through Zhang Ding’s relationship with his teacher,life experience,and artistic concepts.In chapter 3,after dividing Zhang Ding’s landscape painting works into two categories –the thick and moist natural environment and the heroic “plain” human environment –based on the analysis of Zhang Ding’s Burnt-Ink landscape painting,this paper analyzes the influence of cartoon,design,decorative painting,and calligraphy on Zhang’s method of landscape creation.Chapter four concludes the general characteristics of Burnt-Ink landscape painting.Under the influence of Xuansu thought,Zhang Ding forms the Burnt-Ink spirit,with unique heroic “plain” effects on the painting world.
