Objective:Nursing graduate education in our country has developed more than 20 years, is a important way of cultivating high-level nursing staff, but the current domestic for nursing postgraduates “cultivation what, how to cultivate "problems is still in the discussion stage.At the same time, along with the scale enlargement of colleges of nursing master graduate students enrollment in recent years, more and more highly educated personnel to jobs,nursing master graduate student after graduation "where, doing, doing what" is becoming more and more attention by education, nursing profession. In our school since 2001 began to recruit nursing master graduate students, master of nursing education vigorous development, is now, Ph.D, a master’s degree authorization centers, nursing and nursing master graduate student recruit students in China’s largest one of the colleges and universities. So far, a total of 12 session of nursing master graduate student, graduation to society a large number of high-level personnel. For our school of nursing master degree graduates employment status quo and cultivate nursing staff in our school is in line with the social needs and home care industry in our province and of the common concerns for education. This topic from the perspective of employment, therefore, through the investigation to study the status quo of employment of nursing master graduate student in our school, push against our current nursing postgraduate training mode is in line with the social demand and the existing problems, at the same time, according to the situation of employment prospects of the development of understanding of nursing master graduate student and the social demand, suggest to improve nursing postgraduate training, and to promote the nursing master graduate student employment, to form a good circulation of nursing graduate education, also for our country the legislation of clear unified nursing postgraduate training pattern to provide practical basis and reference.Methods:Using the method of literature, questionnaire, interview method and statistical analysis method for graduated from our school from 2004 to 2014, 288 full-time nursing master graduate student employment condition were investigated. The self-made questionnaire,and through the expert discussion and investigation form the final questionnaire, using field investigation, Weichat, E-mail and other ways.Results:1. Graduated from Shanxi medical university from 2004 to 2014 of nursing master graduate student 288 people, has contacted a total of 267 people, lost to follow-up rate was7.3%, the questionnaire effective rate was 99.3%.2. Our school nursing master graduate student employment status quo survey results:(1) One-time employment rate of 100%; In the survey, there are 5 people resign and job-waiting, including one to go abroad, one study for a doctorate, 3 people are underemployed.(2) From the point of nursing master graduate employment areas, 60% of its graduates choose in employment in the province, and mainly concentrated in Taiyuan city; 62.7% of its graduates choose in the provincial capital cities and municipalities directly under the central government.(3) From the point of nursing master graduate employment unit, nursing master degree graduates in our school work units is given priority to with schools and hospitals.59.6% of graduates work in a hospital, 35.8% of the work in the school. In hospital nursing master graduate student, 94.8% of people in top three hospital, only a small number of people in grade-A hospital of second class; nursing postgraduate work at the school, 64.5% of people in the undergraduate course colleges and universities teaching work, 35.5% in large,secondary schools.(4) From the point of nursing master graduate employment levels, 96.2% of respondents said not to change jobs, 57.7% of respondents are now at intermediate title, the average monthly wage in the majority with 4000-6000 yuan, so nursing work stability,development prospect of master degree graduates in our school is good, treatment is relatively good.(5) Overall nursing postgraduate work satisfaction score for(53.43±8.18), professional identity overall score for(40.23±5.90), in the average level; But work in the direction of clinical nursing graduate satisfaction score is low.3. The cultivation of nursing master graduate student in our school:(1) Nursing core competence promotion situation of postgraduate in our school are in average, ability to ascend is the highest scientific research ability, the second is the critical thinking ability, and professional knowledge and skills and management ability to get the lowest marks.(2) Of the 2014 graduate nursing science degree and specialized degree graduate student core competence promotion situation comparison, draw a master of science degree and professional degree nursing graduates were no statistical significance of various aspects ability to ascend.(3) To investigate the nursing graduate education in master’s graduates need to improve,79% chose the curriculum, 75% chose clinical practice arrangement.(4) To investigate the nursing master degree graduates lack of ability in the job, 65% of people chose the innovation ability, 52% chose management ability.Conclusions:According to the above present situation of employment and training situation,analyses the problems about cultivation of nursing master graduate student in our school:(1) training direction needs to be improved;(2) science degree and professional degree education has no obvious difference;(3) lack of the cultivation of clinical practice;(4) the curriculum is not reasonable;(5) to cultivate the students’ ability to be strengthened.At present, the domestic job market there is a great demand for highly educated nursing talents, but in nursing colleges and universities there are a lot of high-level personnel training is insufficient, in order to better cultivate high-level nursing staff can meet the demand of social development, can be improved from the following aspects:(1)increase the nursing professional degree graduate student enrollment rate, give priority to with clinical type talent cultivation;(2) perfect nursing master graduate student curriculum,develop nursing specialty course system;(3) attention to the cultivation of nursing postgraduate clinical practice;(4) science degree and degree of nursing master graduate student training should be a clear distinction between;(5) improve the comprehensive ability of nursing master graduate students.
