ObjectiveTo understand the status quo of specialized training of Master of Nursing Specialist(MNS)postgraduates in China.Taking Chongqing Medical University as an example,this paper constructs the specialized training mode of MNS postgraduates,so as to provide new ideas for the reform of nursing postgraduates education.Methods1.The network information retrieval method is adopted to clarify the needs of specialized nursing talents through the investigation on the training directions of specialized nurses in China.The content analysis method is used to analyze the training program of MNS postgraduates and understand the current situation of MNS postgraduates’ specialized talents training in China.2.Based on the research results of the current situation of specialized training of MNS postgraduates,this paper adopts literature research method and expert meeting,and takes the competency-based education theory and stratified education theory as the guidance,revises the training program of MNS postgraduates of Chongqing Medical University,and constructs the specialized training model for MNS postgraduates.Results1.Current situation of training directions of specialized nurses in ChinaIn this study,the training materials of specialized nurses from 8nursing association were obtained,and a total of 46 training directions of specialized nurse were set.The general training directions of specialized nurses include intensive care,emergency care,operating room care,tumor care,blood purification care,and so on.The name of training directions of specialized nurses is not uniform.2.Content analysis of training program of MNS postgraduates(1)Training Objectives: The training objectives of 38(76%)universities aim to cultivate MNS postgraduates as high-level application-oriented specialized nursing talents,and the training objectives of 31(62%)universities require specialized nursing knowledge and specialized nursing work ability.(2)Specialty direction: A total of 61 specialty directions were set up in50 universities,among which critical care was the most set in 23(46%)universities,Followed by universities with internal medicine nursing,surgical nursing,obstetrics and gynecology nursing,pediatric nursing and tumor nursing,all involving 18(36%).(3)Curriculum: Specialty courses and specialty directions one-to-one correspondence situation: among the 50 universities,11(22%)universities have completely corresponding specialty courses with specialty directions,9(18%)universities have partially corresponding specialty courses with specialty directions,and 30(60%)universities have no specialty courses.(4)Clinical practice: 28(56%)universities adopted the two-stage clinical practice training mode of basic ability training and specialty practice,of which 7(14%)universities allowed the students with clinical experience to shorten the time of basic ability training or directly enter the specialty training.10(20%)universities proposed that specialized knowledge and specialized nursing skills should be evaluated.(5)Qualification of clinical teaching teachers: 3(6%)universities require clinical teaching teachers to be qualified for specialized work,while the rest did not mention the requirements of professional qualification.(6)Dissertation requirements: 13(26%)universities require that the published paper should be in the same direction as the chosen specialty direction.(7)The connection with the professional qualification of specialized nurses: 3(6%)universities have connected the postgraduate education of MNS with the training of specialized nurses,and 3(6%)universities encourage MNS postgraduates to obtain the specialized nurse certificate.3.The construction of specialized training mode of MNS postgraduatesThrough the discussion of two expert meetings with a total of 10 experts,the content of training program of MNS postgraduates has been added in 7 aspects and modified in 3 aspects.According to the expert opinions and through the discussion of the research group,the specialized training mode of MNS postgraduates was constructed,and the characteristics of professionalism and specialization of MNS postgraduates training were strengthened from the key links of training objectives,training directions,curriculum setting,clinical practice,assessment and evaluation and so on.Conclusion1.In China,there are a large number of training directions of specialized nurse and extensive demands,but there are some problems,such as the name of training directions of specialized nurse is not unified,not standardized.At the same time,the degree of coincidence between the specialized training directions of MNS postgraduates and the training directions of specialized nurses are low,which is not conducive to the effective connection between MNS postgraduates education and the professional qualification of specialized nurses.2.There are many problems in MNS training program,such as lack of specific training objectives and requirements,lack of characteristics of specialized training in curriculum setting,clinical practice and assessment,and a big gap between them and the overall goal orientation of high-level application-specialized nursing talents in MNS.Therefore,it is urgent to carry out reform of MNS talent training mode.3.The specialized training mode of MNS postgraduates constructed in this study is in line with the training objectives and requirements of MNS postgraduates and the development needs of specialized nursing.It can promote the connection between MNS college education and professional qualification of specialized nurses and provide a new idea for the reform of nursing postgraduates education.
