| Research Purposes First, investigate the prevalence of type 2 diabetic patients(basic characteristics, relevant medical history, life and behavior, body measurements, laboratory tests, complications, drug use, etc.) in Shihezi community. Then, understand treatment status to obtain a more comprehensive baseline information of type2 diabetes in Shihezi.Research Methods Choose type 2 diabetic patients who meet the inclusion criteria in 13 communities of Shihezi with using the cluster random sampling method, and fill the questionnaire through personally information collection. The collection of baseline information includes the basic condition of the patient, relevant medical history, lifestyle and behavior, body measurements, drug use, and the completion of laboratory tests. Then, establish a database file and input data with using Epidata3.02. Troubleshooting and analysis of data are completed with using SPSS17.0.Main Results1. 655 cases are studied in this research.2. The basic situation of the cases: 285 cases of male, 370 cases of female, with an average age of 66.99 ±9.91 years, the average duration is 9.5 ± 7. 3 years.3. Life and behavior: poor in self-monitoring of blood glucose, acceptable in prescribed medication, smoking and drinking behavior still exists, the diet achieves reasonable, the total carbohydrate is in a high level.4. Body measurements and laboratory tests: BMI compliance rate of 25.03%, WHR compliance rate of10.52% for male and 6.49% for female, BP compliance rate of 72.06%, DBP compliance rate of 69.47%,TC compliance rate of 32.98%, HDL-C compliance rate of 73.33% for male and 59.45% for female,LDL-C compliance rate of 28.24%, TG compliance rate of 57.71%, FPG compliance rate of 47.33%, 2h PG compliance rate of 44.73%, Hb Alc compliance rate of 51.91%. The multivariate logistic regression analysis of Hb Alc shows a significant correlation(P<0.05) between Waist to hip ratio(WHR) and prescribed medication behavior.5. The screening of complications: Retinopathy 42.65%, left leg ABI reduced rate of 8.6%, the right lower extremity ABI reduced rate of 8.4%, abnormal light touch of 88.9%, cool feel abnormalities of 6.65%, the left lower limb vibration perception thresholds average of 18.50 ± 8.69, right leg vibration perception threshold average of 18.05 ± 8.02. The perception threshold of both lower extremities is significant(P<0.05).6. Drug using: the top three antidiabetic drugs in utilization are biguanides, α- glucosidase inhibitors and sulfonylurea, respectively; the top three adverse reactions are low blood sugar reactions, gastrointestinal reactions and weight losses, respectively; the top three antihypertensive drugs in utilization are CCB category, ARB category, ACEI category, respectively. Conclusion The treatment status of blood glucose and lipid in Shihezi communities are in a low level. As a result,it is necessary to strengthen the education and the publicity of diabetes knowledge. Furthermore, the strengthening of the management in chronic and the establishment of a standard integrated diabetes control system for communities have great practical significance for the treatment and the prevention of diabetes. |
